Co-Lab provides administrative support for WaiGIS, a group established in 2007 for individuals with an interest in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) relevant to the Waikato region.
WaiGIS operates both as an in-person and virtual community, fostering collaboration and discussion among various agencies. The group serves as an open forum, encouraging the exchange of ideas, data, and information, while promoting standardisation and collaborative GIS projects across agencies.
Meetings are held annually, typically in November, and ongoing discussions are facilitated through Google Groups, where members can share updates and insights between meetings.
